Camie’s Big Day

There were some other quite eventful times over the next few months. Marisa, who was as in shape and logical as could be, just simply did not have the necessary cooking skills to make a simple spaghetti dinner. The pan burst into flames as Marisa jumped back in the nick of time, the entire stove caught on fire as well! She was in a panic and just didn’t know what to do. She stood back in a daze, unconsciously screaming and waving her arms in the air. Thankfully, Blake had figured this would happen one day and he had installed a fire alarm above the stove. The firemen arrived on the scene within a few minutes, and everyone was okay. But it sure did give little Camie quite a fright!

“Hmm…I don’t think that was supposed to happen.”

Before they knew it, Camie’s birthday had come around again. Blake and Marisa decided to throw a little birthday party for her. They invited some friends from work over for the party, and Camie’s nanny of course too. Marisa had just gotten off work and didn’t even have time to change clothes before she was rushed to help Camie blow out the birthday candles! Everyone stood around and cheered as Camie left her toddler days behind her!

“Oh mom, how am I ever going to get a boyfriend when you go around dressed like that?”

Marisa had a great time at the party. That day had been her first day back on the job since Camie was born, and honestly, Marisa didn’t enjoy it anymore. It was much too stressful trying to save the world from all things evil. And she just needed a change of career. Her good friend, Kennedy, who was also a Captain Hero, came to the party. She had a great time dancing and catching up with him. He encouraged her to pursue another career. She had always wanted to be the Chief of Staff at a hospital, and with Camie starting school soon, it seemed to be the perfect time for a career change. She was definitely going to think about leaving her crime-fighting days behind her for good.

“I knew there was someone who appreciates my sense of style!”
