Expecting

Even though he was enjoying his job, Blake still couldn’t wait for his next promotion which seemed to be not too far away. It meant he was one step closer to achieving his dream of being a Captain Hero. It was all he ever talked about anymore. Marisa understood why. She remembered what it was like when she was working her way up to being Captain Hero: extremely exciting and rewarding. She and Camie listened intently whenever Blake started to talk about work. They enjoyed seeing the excitement he had for his job.

Dinner time at the Brooks'
“Blah, blah, blah…Captain Hero…blah, blah, blah.”

Pretty soon he got that promotion! He was now a Desk Serjeant for the Police Department. The family was extremely happy about the pay raise, seeing as how they had a new baby on the way and a lot of their furniture and appliances were out of date. Blake now brought home 616 simoleons a day, and his work schedule was ideal for a family life: 9am - 3pm Monday - Friday. With the new income coming in, Blake and Marisa decided to update a few things in the their home..as well as build a wall in the middle of Camie’s room to divide it into two bedrooms: the larger one for Camie, and the smaller one for the new baby. They updated their refrigerator, built a few more cabinets, updated their stove, and bought a new dinette set. They also bought a dishwasher and trash compactor!

Remodeled kitchen
“Now if only Marisa could learn how to cook.”

They also had the money to buy a new bookcase (Camie had been begging for a better book selection) and a cute endtable and lamp. Their living room felt much more homey now.

Remodeled family room
“I can’t believe she wanted a book case instead of a swimming pool!”

  1. Eeee! Awesome story as always, and the repair woman stuck in door shot makes me giggle madly.
I vote for Cynthia, Claudia, Claire or Clementine! :D

  2. Is it a “C” theme? I like Claudia and Claire, too… or Caitlin or Chrystelle (which is French, like Camille!).

  3. Ooo, great suggestions once again! So far I have narrowed down the name for this baby to: *drumroll*

    Daphne (from Jen)
    Claudia (from Kay)
    Chrystelle (from Annette)

I’m going to try to figure out how to make a poll for this decision…(I have some time before the next update b/c I am working on the next “Running From a Forgotten Past” update for my next post). All of the afore mentioned names will not be forgotten however! I will continue to refer to them for future babies, and you’ll probably see them in even more polls! Thanks for the input guys, it makes the game so much more fun for me!

  4. Haha, so cute. As usual I love the commentary and I also love that Cammie is such a nerd. :D I wonder what she’ll be when she grows up.
