It didn’t become Iran until 1935, so excuse me if I refer to my homeland as Persia! It was such a beautiful country, you know. In the Middle East, in the southwest of Asia. Pakistan and Afghanistan to the east, Turkmenistan to the northeast, the Caspian Sea in the middle north, Azerbaijan and Armenia to the northwest, Turkey and Iraq to the west, and the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea to the south! My, we were right in the middle of everything! So much culture, sometimes I do miss that my grandchildren will not be raised in the same surroundings as I. But forgive my elderly ramblings! Besides my family, the only thing I still have with me from Persia is my good friend, Camryn. She still likes to dress in the old fashion, and she has become quite the matchmaker in town.
