A Time for Growing
“Another little girl…she’s so beautiful,” Blake Brooks thought to himself as he held his new daughter for the first time. His wife, Marisa, had given birth to their second child while he was at work and the repair-woman who happened to be there to fix the TV had called to give him the good news. He rushed home to find a new little baby sleeping peacefully in the new nursery. He just had to hold her. She looked just like her older sister, Camille. With what looked like brown hair and those baby blue eyes, this new baby definitely took after her daddy.

“Ohmigosh…this wasn’t here when I left this morning!”
Blake was happy to find that Marisa was doing well after the short labor and delivery. She was in bed trying to sleep. He sat with her for a long while just thinking about how lucky he was to have such a wonderful wife and 2 beautiful and healthy daughters. (Although he still really wanted to have a son!). As soon as he heard the school bus pull up outside, Blake rushed to the nursery and picked up his new baby. He couldn’t wait to show her to her big sister. Camille had been so excited when they told her that she was going to be a big sister, and Blake couldn’t wait to see the look on her face when she finally saw her new little sister! Camille walked inside and put her school books on the table as usual, but instead of sitting down to start her homework she spotted her father and the new baby. A big smile appeared on her face and she rushed over to get a better look.

“Is she supposed to smell like that, Daddy?”
Over the next few months, Blake and Marisa had a wonderful time watching Camie play with and help take care of Daphne. Blake had insisted on naming her Gertrude, but Marisa refused. She decided to name her “Daphne” which her dear friend, Jen, had suggested. The name really seemed to fit the new baby rather well. And Camie had a great time calling her Daffy. Camie was such a big help in taking care of Daphne that Blake and Marisa had quite a lot of alone time. And they of course spent the majority of it in their bedroom…trying to make a son to carry on the family name!

“Again?! Sheesh..”

Awww… I like the name Daphne, too!
It’s funny to see the same NPC’s I play in other people’s blogs. Marisa Bendett’s kids in your game look a little like her kids in my game… which is part of why the genetics part of Sims 2 fascinates me.

Wow, such a great update, you took such nice pictures and Camie is really beautiful! And I’m also glad that Daffy does look different, wonderful when children do not look the same
And I wanted to add, that your interior (toddler room etc) looks awesome, do you probably remember where you got it from? Glad to see that everything’s going so well, and eager to see the next baby(boy?)!

Thanks guys! Yeah, I find it cool too when I see my NPC spouses in other blogs. It is definitely amazing how the genetics system works! Thanks for the wonderful comments guys!
Eva, the nursery set I have is from The Well Dressed Sim I’m pretty sure. I believe all of the items are Free downloads, b/c I do not have an account there! They also have a children’s room in the same pattern, and all of that stuff was free except for the bed linens! Ugh, but any light shade of pink comforter fits well with the rest of the set! Hope this helps!

hahaha, I love that last caption. “Just do everything I say and we’ll get along just fine!” So cute! I hope they get a boy, they seem to want one badly. Camie turned into a really pretty teen and Daphy looks like her mom with her dads eyes and hair!
