It’s Time to Celebrate

< -- A New Baby

Camie, who insisted that everyone call her Camille that night, had a great time chatting with the Headmaster. They both seemed to be extremely interested in forensics, and they talked about it all night long. Camille took him on a nice long tour of the house while Marisa put the finishing touches on dinner. Finally Camille ended the tour and they all sat down to dinner. Well, almost all…Daffy thankfully was at a friend’s house for the evening! As much as they all loved that little girl, they were a bit worried that she would have ruined the interview! She didn’t exactly have the best table manners!

Dinner with the Headmaster
“Well Dad, now I see where Daffy gets her table manners.”

The headmaster couldn’t stop praising Marisa for the dinner..and for such a lovely home. He had just enough time before he left to play a quick game of chess with Camille, and then he went over to Blake and gave him a firm handshake. “You have a lovely family, Mr. Brooks,” he said brightly. “I think your children are perfect for my school!” And with that, Camille and Daphne were accepted into private school! After the Headmaster left, Daphne returned home from her friend’s house, and was thrilled to find out that she was going to private school. Really she was just happy to be going to the same school as her big sister. The entire family had their own little celebration that night. They turned on the radio and danced all night long!

Celebrating about private school
“Private school! I’m so excited, I could die!!…Don’t cry Daffy, I’m just kidding.”
