Akunaga — Chapter 1

Kin Akunaga: Konichiwa! Watashiwa Kin desu. Oh, do forgive me. I often forget that English is the language to speak in this country. Therefore, let me start again. Hello! My name is Kin. There now, that is better, no? You will have to forgive me if I sometimes slip back into my native tongue. I am from Japan; just moved here to Central City a few weeks or so ago to be exact. I moved here with my family after the great earthquake that devastated our home. I lost my parents and wife in the disaster, and in short decided to move my two children here to America for a fresh start. There were too many painful memories in Tokyo. My brother, Samuru, decided to join us and he now lives with us in our new home. I met some wonderful people when we first moved here, and already have a promising career. I will let you in on my little secret…you appear to be trustworthy. I am a professional criminal. One day, I hope to be considered a mastermind. I work for one of the largest criminal factions in the city, and am quickly moving up in the ranks. Already, I have the role of Con Artist. Pretty soon, I will have enough money to move my family out of the one bedroom house we now share, into a house large enough for our comfort. Thankfully, we are able to cut back on some expense because of my required carpool. Our boss-man insists that we take a carpool on our jobs, in order to ensure our family’s safety.
Enough about my work for now. I do not want to scare you off so soon, now do I?! On our first day in our new home, a welcoming party of neighbors came over to meet us. A beautiful young woman and her mother were the first to introduce themselves. They are also new to the city and the country. Their names were Darice and Azura Persea. Their family is from Persia they tell me. Azura is a strikingly beautiful woman, but a little too young for my taste. She recently turned 25 she told us, which is 10 years or so younger than myself. It’s a shame too; I’ll always think of her as my “Persian Goddess”. My brother Samuru, on the other hand, is the perfect age for Azura. He is also very forward in his endeavors, and turned her off almost as soon as she shook his hand. I always tell him he is too amorous with women, and settling down with one woman would give him much joy. But at this time in his life, he is completely happy to be single. However, he did not take it well when Azura turned him down.
I’m really looking forward to reading more! You’ve really thought through your characters’ history, and it shows.

Aww such a sweet update. I like the fact that you included some of their home language into this and his misunderstandings about marisa chen haha. Quite funny indeed. I also like that you included the Nightlife aspect of things. And i was surpried that one of the characters had on the dress that somebody designed. Quite Interesting indeed. Haha i feel so happy for that person. Great update.

Oh this looks to be good.
Now I’ve heard about the Prosperity Challenge but have no idea of what it entails. Where can I find info on it as I’m getting close to gener. 8 in my legacychallenge and itching for something new .

Thanks for the comments guys! Sorry it’s been a bit since my last update. I’ve had a hectic week in school (tests and papers due in every class!) But I hope to have another update soon!

Wow, this is awesome so far! Great job with Kin’s “voice”; it was entertaining and very well-written! Also love the pics. Gotta love the jumping car.
