Persea — Chapter 1

That very afternoon, Tucker Trimble came over to the house to pick Azura up for an outing, and right in front of the entire family, he got down on one knee and proposed to my dear Azura. We were all too stunned to speak.

I cannot truthfully say that I was overly happy with this prospect of my daughter marrying a much, much older man. But seeing how happy Azura was, really made me happy for her. Maybe finally my daughter knew what it was like to be in love with something other than knowledge.

Azura and Tucker wanted to be married right away. (I would too if I were marrying a man that at best only had 5 years or so to live.) So, we all took a trip to the Corner Shoppes. The men went to the tuxedo shop, while we women went to find a wedding dress for Azura. We had a hard time finding traditional Persian wedding attire in the posh store of Central City, but it was fun being there with my descendants and searching for dresses for us all.

  4. Ooh, I like this family, and I think it’s cool that Darice is fond of traditions. She’s a good caretaker for her lovely family, and she looks so classy. :-) Wonderfully-written update — all of the national details and insight of the narrator make for a very enjoyable read. I hope you’re having as much fun playing as we’re having reading your stories! :-D
