Dinner, Yet so Much More
Ellie immediately regretted her question, but once again she was overwhelmed by the intensity of Edward’s presence. Now she understood why she could not see through the walls surrounding his heart. The walls had been built by pain, years ago. And pain is not an easy emotion to break through.
“My sincerest apologies, Sir,” she said, averting her gaze to the floor, as was appropriate. “I was not aware…”

“Of course not darling. No harm done!” Albus said with a grin, as he rose to his feet. “I forgot that you are not from around here. Of course you wouldn’t have known about it. Now, shall we gather in the dining room for dinner? I am anxious to see what dear Martha has in store for us!”
Before Ellie knew it, Edward was standing next to her. “But of course, Father. I am starved from my journey, as I am sure Miss Brown is as well,” he said with a sincere warmth in his tone.

Much to Ellie’s surprise, Edward offered her his hand. She placed her hand lightly in his as the burning sensation took over once more. Their eyes locked on one another as he gently raised her to her feet, and secured her hand into the crook of his arm. With the touch from her hand, Ellie thought she saw, or felt, a piece of his wall give way.
Mr. Remmington, Sr., smiled at the two of them. For all it was worth, he could see a small change in his son as well. He had not seen that gentleness since Susanna died. He nodded and led the way to the dining room.

I love it when you update this story but I think it’s funny that it’s still the same day. I mean, not much time has past but so much has happened.
I hope you update again soon.

I love how this story is so much like a movie. Yeah, I would never have the paitence to get pictures like yours, you seem to include every detail like when Ellie was watching Edward go up the stairs. Great update!

Hehehe, thanks Jeanne! This story, in all honesty, actually started out as an idea I have for a book that I want to write. Maybe someday I’ll get along to actually writing it!

Like i have been for the past couple of months on everyone’s blog..I HATE love storys, but somehow, the sims love stories are ok.And i love this story. You are a GREAT writer. You should write that book. As a matter of fact. Start writing now haha jk. But yes, i think you should go for the goal. The beginning of the story is a great way to begin it and it actaully reminds me of a book. So yes i fully back up your notion to write the book.

Awww, thanks Eva! The more of these little updates I write, the more I actually want to sit down and start writing it. Maybe I will. I always have this huge urge to make these posts so much more in depth, but there’s only so much a sim can do! Maybe I will start writing it…

Wonderful update, Paige! It makes me really miss my Victorian Simmies (even though I still play them once in awhile!). Awesome job with the photos; you do have a keen eye for detail. That necklace Ellie is wearing is gorgeous, the way it sparkles — where did you get it? Looking forward to the next update!
