So, naturally, I complained to my husband about eet expecting him to talk to his mother. But as always, I was wrong. He told me zat as zee matriarch of zis household, eet was her place to scold my daughter! Can you believe zat?! He told me to drop eet, zat zee incident had been handled. Zen zee next morning when I was coming out of zee shower, I saw Reginald at zee table with Bree. He was having a talk with her about zee birds and zee bees! I am zee child’s mother! Zat is my job to tell her about such zings!! Eet eez as eef my opinion does not even matter. Or as eef I am not even here.

But I must say, I am happy zat Reginald eez finally taking some kind of role in parenthood. Before moving to America, he never paid attention to his daughters. Eet was as eef he was mad zat zey were girls, and zat I did not bear him sons. But now, he eez very loving to zem. He helps them with their homework, he pushes zem on zee swing set, and he takes zem downtown for bowling and fun. I am happy to see zem be able to spend time with their father.

I am also grateful to Reginald for one other zing; he introduced me to someone very special. Ciro Persea eez a wonderful man. He eez a friend of Reginald’s. From what I understand, Reginald lent Ciro some money to start his restaurant. I’m sure you have met Ciro. He eez zee owner of zee restaurant, Londoste. His sister eez zee girl zat Tucker Trimble eez married to…you remember, the marriage zat Fern eez trying to break up?

  3. Loved the accent there. I would love to be able to get started with my prosperity challenge. I was only able to set up my families, so I’ll be enjoying yours until I have some time to get to them :)

Boy that old bat needs to leave her daughter-in-law be. I think I would tell her to take a flying leap out of a 20 story window

  4. Hi Paige! I’m late in reading this update, but I loved it! You handled the French accent well — I could hear Blanche’s voice in my head. And what a great character! She totally rocks. I already hate her husband and her mother-in-law, and I’m rooting for her to get together with Ciro. ;-) Awesome, awesome, awesome!
