Gilley Sheehan: Hello, my friends! And a mighty fine day to ya! Let me introduce meself. I’m Gilley Sheehan; straight from Tralee, Ireland I am! Only been here in Central City a few months. How do I like it so far, ya ask? Well, I got off to a rocky start but now I’m flyin’ as high as a sheep on green pastures! You’ll have to excuse my sheep sayin’s; I used to be a sheep farmer ya’know. Yep, yep. Sheepin’ was me life. I used to love the smell of the grass all green and wet with the mornin’ dew when I’d take me herd out to pasture. Me kids used to wake up early and follow me out. They grew up with those sheep. Broke their hearts to have to leave ‘em. Now in the mornin’s, we all wake up and get ready for the day. The kids go off to school on this big yella wagon-bus. Now it’s me followin’ them out the door; only I do it to get the paper and wave goodbye to ‘em. I sure do miss those sheep.

Ah, I’m sorry friend…I didn’t tell ya that I had children? Well I do. 3 of ‘em. My beloved wife, God rest her soul, and I always dreamed of havin’ a big family. 6 kids we wanted. Well, we made it half way before the good Lord decided it was time to take her back home. A nasty plague swept through our town, and Marlee was gone by the end of the week. The sheep went with her. Me and the kids were left with nothin’ but a big gaping hole in our hearts where Marlee and the sheep used to be. There just didn’t seem to be anythin’ left for us in dear ol’ Tralee. So we up and moved out here. The kids are adjusting right well. Finley and Meara are enjoyin’ their new school, and their new friends. People in these parts ain’t ever seen twins; but now they have. That’s right, me youngest son and daughter are twins. Been together since before they were even born. Now that’s a bond not easily broken, much like a strongheaded sheep.

Me oldest son, Dowe, is quite the handsome fella; takes after his old pa I do say! He just turned 16 years old, and got himself one of those drivin’ permits, he did. Now if only we had a car! Hahaha, but he still walks around here like he owns the world. He’s attendin’ the local high-school, and already he’s got quite a big group of friends. A party-crowd me thinks. But that lad’s got a good head on his shoulders. I don’t worry about him a bit. He’s even got himself a girlfriend. Her name’s Kira Persea. She’s a pretty one, that girl. Comes from a wealthy family too. Her papa owns a fancy restaurant here in town, called Londoste. Ever been there? Not me, but I hear it’s pretty posh. I’ve gotten to know that Persea family pretty well since Kira’s been spending most of her time over here at our house.

Speakin’ of the Persea’s, you know I heard that Kira’s papa, Ciro Persea, is rollin’ in the hay with that French woman Blanche Parsons! Can you believe that! I do worry for him though. Why, you ask? Well, my good friend Jomo Okapi told me a little tale about Mrs. Parson’s husband. You see, back when me family and I first moved into our new little house, Blanche and Jomo were our very first visitors. By the way they were actin’ with each other, I thought for sure they were romancin’. As I hung out with Jomo more and more, I noticed that Blanche was always at his side. Just like one of my newborn sheep. But then, all of a sudden, she wasn’t. They seemed to have broken things off, so I asked Jomo what went wrong. That’s when he told me. Blanche’s husband is a Criminal Mastermind here in Central City. He’s been runnin’ the streets and his lachey’s have been terrorizing the town for ages now. It seems he caught wind of Blanche’s little tryst with Jomo, and Jomo received a nasty warning to leave Blanche alone. Jomo never wanted no trouble, so of course he broke things off at once with Mrs. Parsons. But to this day you’ll see Jomo look over his shoulder every couple of minutes to make sure there’s noone after him. Poor guy.
