Sheehan — Chapter 1
When she finally regained her balance, she turned around to me and gave me the biggest, brightest smile. I knew right then and there that this was the one. I had a warm feelin’ fill me up, and I hadn’t had a drop of love potion! Mallory batted her lovely eyelashes at me, and I just about melted. I took her down to this karaoke bar down the street, and she was flirtin’ with me the whole way there. Or maybe I was flirtin’ with her…well either way, we were havin’ a good ol’ time.
We spent the whole night singin’ karaoke with each other, and dancin’. Mallory really does have a good voice…me on the other hand, well…I stink. But she just smiled, and giggled at my feeble attempts to harmonize. At least I sang with feeling though!
That night, she came back to the house with me, and I introduced her to me kids. I was really nervous that she would run when she met them, but she got along just great with them! She especially loved the twins. She played with them, and even read them their bedtime story! I was in hog-heaven just a’watchin’ Mallory be affectionate with me kids.
She ended up spendin’ the night that night, and the next mornin’ I just couldn’t contain meself. As I walked her to the front door to say goodbye, I grabbed her and kissed her passionately. It had been a long time since I felt so full inside. (Well, I felt that way with Vyn, but that doesn’t count.)
And then, I just couldn’t wait any longer. I got on one knee, pulled out the engagement ring that I had given to me first wife, and proposed to Mallory. I was concerned at first that she’d think it was too soon for this. After all, we’d only known each other for a day… But she said YES!

Thanks for the comments guys! And yes Vivi, I have another update almost ready!! I have written half of it, and I’ll finish the other half up tonight! Look for it tomorrow!
