Thank you Carrie and Elfhawk for the comments!

And yes Elfhawk, any changes you need to make to adapt the story to your neighborhood is completely fine! In the end it's the story telling that counts!

I very rarely do this sort of thing, but I've become exceedingly interested in this challenge. I think I'm gonna have to do it. Might be just the thing to kickstart my Sim Blog writing career.

Great idea, and I've got just the creative spin to adapt it to my game that is devoid of expansion packs. Think Firefly. I hope that's okay with you!

Jen - The child would count as 1st generation if he/she was created in CAS at the beginning of your challenge. Also, I let my sims start out with 20,000 simoleans and I had them buy some of the smaller lots, so I could use the money to build believable homes and sets. Also, for the commercial businesses, you can build the lots with no limit on funds, and then give your sims the required funds to purchase that lot. Otherwise, your town wouldn't actually have a saloon owner, hotel owner, etc.. If this doesn't make sense let me know!

And sure Kristina, I will get to working on a modern version of this challenge pronto! Thanks for asking!

Another question - how much money does everyone start out with? 20,000 Simoleons? Or is it up to our discretion?

Paige, I have a question -- for the purposes of scoring, do the CAS-created children count as first or second generation? For example, if I roll a family with an adult and a child, and decide to make them mother and son, is that son considered second generation? Or is he first gen because I created him in CAS? Hope that makes sense! And it's not critical yet, I'm just wondering. Thanks. :-)

Hi, I like the sound of this challenge and would love to participate! Could you make a modern version of it? That would be great.

Wow! Great challenge! I really want to try it but I can't download anything and then playing might be a bit... weird. Will you post the links to the blogs that are doing this challenge? I'd love to read a few. :D

Hi Paige! This challenge sounds awesome. Sign me up! I need something to get me back into the Sims groove, and the Ravelos are too daunting at the moment. Plus you know I LOVE the historical stuff. :-)
