Mayfield: A Saga

So it has been almost a year since my last update. Well, I guess I should give you some reason why that is. This past year has been H-E-L-L for me. I won’t bore you (or depress you) with all of the details, but suffice it to say that when it rains, it pours. My life pretty much did a flip-flop all the way around and back again, and I am just now picking up the pieces. But on a happier note, I have definitely emerged from this a much stronger person and I know that I can handle whatever this game called life wants to throw at me! That being said, I am sorry for my extended absence and for not saying a word about it. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off!

Hello there everyone! So I’ve finally done it! I’ve made a brand new challenge and so far I am having tons of fun testing it out! I hope you all enjoy it too and I hope you all participate! I’ve called it the “Westward Ho!! Challenge”, and it is actually focused on story-telling rather than game play. So, read on to see what it’s all about! Enjoy!

Hey there everyone! It’s been a long while since I’ve updated. Why, you ask? Well, I lost my password for this blog and for my Montgomery Legacy Blog too! Oh no! But luckily I found the password to this blog! Whew! So, I have a “Running from a Forgotten Past” update in the works, but in the mean time I’ve been having a lot of fun with the Montgomery’s again! I will be condensing their posts to one blog once I either find the password for the old blog, or give up and move it all to the new blog! I can’t believe it’s Christmas already! I hope you all are having a great time with your friends, family, and loved ones on this wonderful holiday! I know I haven’t been posting much lately, but I’ve been super busy lately. I got a new job and now work 50+ hours a week, my fiance and I moved into a new apartment last week so we’ve been packing and moving in all of our spare time, and of course…we’re busy planning our wedding! So things have been out of control for me lately! But don’t worry, I’m still going to be updating with my dear ol’ Simmies! They are just dying to tell their crazy life stories! So, it wouldn’t be a good post without a few pictures! Here’s my families from my Prosperity Challenge all decked out for Christmas, and ready to wish you good tidings and great joy this holiday season!

Hey everyone! As you all know, I’ve been quiet for awhile! I was participating in NaNoWriMo, and it took up almost all of my spare time. But since that’s over with (and no, I didn’t win…only got to 20k words) I’m back and ready to start posting some new and juicy stuff again! I’ve got quite a few projects in the works now and I’m sure those of you who are new to reading my blog might get a little confused! I’ve also got a legacy family into its 3rd generation posted on another blog and I’m thinking about bringing it over to this blog, but condensing it a little bit. Anyways, here’s an expanded list of my projects and what to expect!

Brooks’ Legacy Family
This was my first ever blog story attempt of the sims! I only ever got to generation 2 on it, and you can find it under “Brooks Legacy”. I may start playing them again, in fact I probably will! They were a cute and quirky bunch, so we’ll see!

Running from a Forgotten Past
This is a story, not a challenge of any sort. It’s actually a really really shortened idea that I have been mulling over for a book that I would love to write. It is set in the Victorian Era, and has a host of loveable (and not so loveable) characters. It gives me a nice break from challenges, and it really gets my creative juices flowing!

Prosperity Challenge
Yet another of my challenges! This challenge encompasses 5 different families: the Akunaga’s, the Persea’s, the Parson’s, the Sheehan’s, and the Okapi’s. Each family has their own unique background and their own unique personalities. Since they live in the same town, their lives (and stories) intertwine quite a bit and even though I’ve only posted for the first weeks on 3 out of the 5 families, the stage is already set for some big drama! This challenge promises to be quite a lot of fun!

Montgomery Legacy Family
This is my other Legacy Family. So far, it is at generation 3 and I have been really enjoying playing them. Currently it can be found on my other blog: The Sims Chronicles. There are a lot of posts to it (but each post is really short), and you’ll have to check out the archives if you feel like reading the whole story! But they are a fun family…the only thing I don’t like about them is the fact that there is no drama! Lol. But, they’re cute and I have fun playing them! I may bring a condensed version of the story over to this blog, but I may just pick back up with the Brooks for now. We’ll see!
