How do I like it so far, ya ask? Well, I got off to a rocky start but now I’m flyin’ as high as a sheep on green pastures! You’ll have to excuse my sheep sayin’s; I used to be a sheep farmer ya’know. Yep, yep. Sheepin’ was me life. I used to love the smell of the grass all green and wet with the mornin’ dew when I’d take me herd out to pasture. Me kids used to wake up early and follow me out. They grew up with those sheep. Broke their hearts to have to leave ‘em. Now in the mornin’s, we all wake up and get ready for the day. The kids go off to school on this big yella wagon-bus. Now it’s me followin’ them out the door; only I do it to get the paper and wave goodbye to ‘em. I sure do miss those sheep.

Darice Speaking: Oh! Greetings to you! Are you new to Central City as well? You are?! My family and I are also. We are new to the country in fact. Oh my, where are my mannners?! My name is Darice Persea. And you would be? Such a pleasure to meet you, my dear! Where am I originally from, you ask? Well, I am from Persia. Now I know what you are thinking…”Persia doesn’t exist anymore”. In that case, I guess you could say I am from Iran. But you know, when I was born it was still known as Persia. It didn’t become Iran until 1935, so excuse me if I refer to my homeland as Persia! It was such a beautiful country, you know. In the Middle East, in the southwest of Asia. Pakistan and Afghanistan to the east, Turkmenistan to the northeast, the Caspian Sea in the middle north, Azerbaijan and Armenia to the northwest, Turkey and Iraq to the west, and the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea to the south! My, we were right in the middle of everything! So much culture, sometimes I do miss that my grandchildren will not be raised in the same surroundings as I. But forgive my elderly ramblings! Besides my family, the only thing I still have with me from Persia is my good friend, Camryn. She still likes to dress in the old fashion, and she has become quite the matchmaker in town. I’m sure you’ve met her.

Akunaga — Chapter 1

Overview of Sims:
Kin Akunaga — Generation 1, Fortune, Scorpio
Samuru Akunaga — Generation 1, Pleasure, Cancer
Taro Akunaga — Generation 2, Family, Leo
Michiko Akunaga — Generation 2, Unknown, Pisces

Kin Akunaga: Konichiwa! Watashiwa Kin desu. Oh, do forgive me. I often forget that English is the language to speak in this country. Therefore, let me start again. Hello! My name is Kin. There now, that is better, no? You will have to forgive me if I sometimes slip back into my native tongue. I am from Japan; just moved here to Central City a few weeks or so ago to be exact. I moved here with my family after the great earthquake that devastated our home. I lost my parents and wife in the disaster, and in short decided to move my two children here to America for a fresh start. There were too many painful memories in Tokyo. My brother, Samuru, decided to join us and he now lives with us in our new home. I met some wonderful people when we first moved here, and already have a promising career. I will let you in on my little secret…you appear to be trustworthy. I am a professional criminal. One day, I hope to be considered a mastermind. I work for one of the largest criminal factions in the city, and am quickly moving up in the ranks. Already, I have the role of Con Artist. Pretty soon, I will have enough money to move my family out of the one bedroom house we now share, into a house large enough for our comfort. Thankfully, we are able to cut back on some expense because of my required carpool. Our boss-man insists that we take a carpool on our jobs, in order to ensure our family’s safety.
